Last January 14, a group of South Korean priests headed by Fr. David and Fr. James, together with facilitators and youth from the Diocese of Cheongju, South Korea visited once again to Payatas to have their annual program of “Peer Disciple to the World.” This in partnership with Mother of Divine Providence Parish and its Youth Ministry. To warmly welcome their arrival, Payatas Orione Foundation prepared a program featuring the selected children and scholars from feeding and scholarship program who performed a modern and cultural dance and a song number. The Korean youth also prepared a song number accompanied by musical instruments including the “gayageum”, one of the traditional string instruments in Korea.
As part of the “2018 Peer Disciple to the World” program, the participants were divided into several groups to do social services for 3 days from January 15 to 17 in PAOFI feeding program. They also sponsored grocery packs for the selected 120 families from Payatas. They personally distributed the grocery packs as they visited their houses and prayed for the family.
Thank you so much to all the organizers and participants of 2018 Peer Disciple to the World. We were so touched and overwhelmed on how you showed love and compassion for the Filipino people especially the children. We hope you had a great time in the Philippines and we look forward to see you again next year! KAMSAHAMNIDA!
